Can anybody have reflexology treatments?
Reflexology is suitable for all ages and may help to relieve a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, as well as basic complaints.
After completing a course of reflexology treatments for a specific condition, you may find it advantageous to continue with regular treatments to maintain your health and well-being.
Many health care professionals now recognise reflexology as a well established, respected and effective therapy.
How long does a treatment take?
A reflexology treatment session usually lasts around an hour.
An ear candling session takes around 45 minutes to an hour.
A course of treatments may be recommended depending on your needs.
Can reflexology make me feel worse?
Occasionally what is known as a 'healing crisis' can occur. When an imbalance is found a temporary worsening of symptoms can be experienced, however this is normal and is an indication that the treatment is working and the healing process beginning.
After an ear candling treatment occasionally a temporary worsening of a hearing problem may occur and usually passes quickly. This can be caused by the loosening and softening of excessive wax within the ear which will work its way out.
Although only the shoes and socks are removed during treatment it is advisable to wear loose, comfortable clothing as you will be lying in a reclined position for an hour.
The pressure applied during a treatment is firm and as such the effect is generally not ticklish.
Will the candle residue go into the ear?
No - the candles are made with a filter inside which prevents anything going into the ear.
Does it help to have a treatment before taking a flight?
Yes - if you have no ear infection and if you suffer with ear or sinus problems, it is a good idea to have a treatment prior to your flight.
I suffer from a lot of ear wax and often have them syringed. Could I use these candles instead?
Yes you could. I have a number of clients who previously endured the discomfort of syringing but now visit me for hopi treatment instead.
